Tech I Work With
I work with a variety of backend languages including PHP, ColdFusion, Perl, and some Python. I follow object-oriented programming (OOP) principles in my development, which helps me write modular, reusable, and maintainable code. I'm comfortable designing systems using OOP concepts like encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism — especially when building scalable applications or working within frameworks. I also have hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and have developed and integrated service-driven solutions across various tech stacks.
On the frontend, I use vanilla JavaScript and jQuery, focusing on performance, usability, and clean, maintainable code.
I’ve worked with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server for database development and management, and I’m comfortable in agile environments using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
Outside of Work
Outside of development, I stay active — I go to the gym regularly and enjoy football (lifelong Arsenal fan), squash, darts, and archery.
I’m a tech enthusiast through and through, and also a bit of a LEGO fan — it’s a great creative outlet that combines precision and play.
Music Lover
I’m a huge music lover with a particular passion for indie, rock, and metal — though I’ll happily listen to anything that’s good. Music has always been a big part of my life, from daily playlists to live shows. I regularly go to gigs and love the atmosphere of being in the crowd, whether it’s an intimate venue or a massive arena. Festivals abroad are a highlight of my year — there's something unbeatable about discovering new bands and soaking up the energy with thousands of other fans. I used to make monthly spotify playlists too, which i should of promoted more.
Beer Brewing
I’m passionate about craft beer brewing. I once planned a beer venture that didn’t quite take off due to the climate, but I still enjoy brewing high-quality homemade beers with friends. From real ales and IPAs to NEIPAs, stouts, and fruited sours, we love experimenting with new styles.
